Frequently Asked Questions
What time should I arrive?
Typically, guests tend to show up about 30 minutes before the ceremony starts, to ensure they have enough time to navigate and find a seat. We ask that you arrive at least 30 minutes before, if not sooner - the grounds are incredible to explore! If you happen to arrive late, we ask that you quietly take a seat in the back rows so that the Bride and Groom can enjoy their special moment, uninterrupted.
Is there parking available?
Of course! There will be two designated areas for parking that you will be guided to upon arrival. You can also view the parking areas early on the map that we have provided here. Overnight parking is also available if needed, but cars must leave the lot no later than 11:00 AM Sunday morning to avoid being towed.
What is the dress code?
We ask that all guests dress in cocktail attire or formal attire. Gotta’ look good for those photos!
Is the wedding outdoors? What weather should I expect?
The wedding will be held outdoors at the chapel (weather permitting). In Michigan, the month of July tends to be between 60-80ºF during the day. Luckily, because our ceremony is later in the afternoon, it will likely be on the cooler side. It can get cooler at night, so a sweater may be good to have on hand!
Is the reception at a different location than the ceremony?
Nope! Everything is being held on the estate grounds. The ceremony will take place at the chapel, cocktail hour at the front patio, and reception in the backyard tent. All locations are close together and can be walked between each one.
What if I have a dietary restriction or allergy?
No worries! On the RSVP form online, there is an area that asks about restrictions or allergies. All of this information will be shared with the kitchen before the day of the wedding. We have plenty of options to accommodate those with dietary restrictions.
